Winter Retreat 09
Friday, 30 January 2008 - Sunday 01 February 2008 at Toah Nipi
Our Winter Retreat this year will be from 1/30/09-2/1/09. We'll be heading up to beautiful Toah Nipi Retreat Center in Rindge, NH for a weekend of time with God, rejuvination and fun. We're excited to welcome our speaker Lisa Espineli Chin, the director of International Student Ministries with InterVarsity. She was a keynote speaker at Urbana '03 and 06, InterVarsity's national missions conference. Lisa is a visionary who has a particular heart for international students. She also serves on the board of HOPE International, a non-profit organization focused on poverty alleviation through microenterprise development. Lisa was a Filipeno international student, is married to a Chinese-American man and together they have three children.
We're still brainstorming a topic but it's sure to be along the lines of faith and what it means for your life. If this is your first time at a retreat with AACF be sure to take advantage of our first-timer discount code: FIRSTTIME.

Advance
Wednesday, 3 Sept 2008 - Saturday, 6 Sept 2008 at Camp Bement, Charlton, Mass.
(from http://intervarsityne.org/harvard/advance08/ - Sign up there!)
God is moving across the Harvard campus. And we want to advance with him -- not retreat! We want to see our lives and our friends' lives transformed. We want to see our campus spiritually renewed. We want a ripple effect that goes far and wide. In short, we want to bring the whole gospel to the whole campus to impact the whole world.
You've been invited to Advance 2008 because you are committed to the missions of HRCF, HRAACF, or HRBCF. This will be a critical period to prepare for the upcoming year, to renew our vision for how God wants to transform Harvard, and to get ready to welcome the class of 2012.
Summer can be a very different and often challenging time spiritually. Spend some time reconnecting with God and with your spiritual family before diving back into the Harvard bubble.
Are you ready to advance the Kingdom of God at Harvard?
Summit
Sunday, 25 May 2008 - Friday, 30 May 2008 at Toah Nipi
Summit is AACF's year-end, week-long retreat at Toah Nipi, our favorite New Hampshire campsite. You'll also receive solid teaching on the book of Acts (the theme is: "You will receive power, you will be my witnesses") and on a variety of different subjects. In addition, there are always a lot of fun activities like canoeing, sitting in a canoe while your friend rows, or tipping over a canoe with your friends in it. Register now at http://intervarsityne.org/summit2008/ before 5/1 the early registration deadline!

Encounter
Saturday, 7:00pm - 9:30pm, 19 April 2008 in Jefferson 250
The Harvard-Radcliffe Asian American Christian Fellowship (HRAACF) would like to invite you to ENCOUNTER, a Boston-wide night of worship that will be held at 7 pm on Saturday, April 19. ENCOUNTER will take place on Harvard's campus in Jefferson Laboratory, room 250. View map HERE.
We envision ENCOUNTER as a time of worship where believers from all over Boston can gather together to praise His name as one voice. Our hope is that God will meet us during this time and inspire in each of us a lifestyle of continual worship and fellowship. The night will be an extended time of musical worship, drama, and possibly body worship, providing different venues for people to encounter God.
We hope to see all of you there-- we're excited about joining believers in Boston to praise God together!

Men's Breakout Session: 6:30pm Emerson 210
Women's Breakout
Hello Ladies! We will be hosting a gender-breakout session this Friday evening at 20 Banks 2nd floor as part of our Women's Ministry effort. To help make this a comfortable time for study and reflection together, we will be cooking dinner before starting a Bible study focused on the issues of grace and identity. Afterwards, those of you who would like to stay and hang out are welcome to. We'll have some dessert, and perhaps a movie or some fun games. Dinner will start at 6 pm, and the study will start around 6:30 and last until about 8 pm. And, please, feel free to join us afterwards to hang out and have fun!
If you would like to join us for dinner, could you please RSVP to both of us?
This way, we can plan for how much to cook. (sheilamyung![[AT]](/web-media/at-sign.png)
