This Friday, October 10th we're inviting Dr. Gordon Hugenberger (Senior Pastor of Park Street Church, Harvard College '74) to tackle the topic of Jesus's views on politics from an Old Testament viewpoint. While many suspect that a strong faith is simply a formula for strife, extremism, judgmentalism, and cultural isolation, Dr. Hugenberger will address why he thinks a Christian understanding of politics & law should make faith more attractive, not less especially to those who share the Bible's values upholding justice, civility, peace, mercy, freedom, globalism, and concern for the poor & disadvantaged. The talk will be both entertaining and thought-provoking followed by extended Q & A and a reception. Please invite your friends and join us on Friday at 7:30pm in Sever 113!

(from http://intervarsityne.org/harvard/advance08/ - Sign up there!)
God is moving across the Harvard campus. And we want to advance with him -- not retreat! We want to see our lives and our friends' lives transformed. We want to see our campus spiritually renewed. We want a ripple effect that goes far and wide. In short, we want to bring the whole gospel to the whole campus to impact the whole world.
You've been invited to Advance 2008 because you are committed to the missions of HRCF, HRAACF, or HRBCF. This will be a critical period to prepare for the upcoming year, to renew our vision for how God wants to transform Harvard, and to get ready to welcome the class of 2012.
Summer can be a very different and often challenging time spiritually. Spend some time reconnecting with God and with your spiritual family before diving back into the Harvard bubble.
Are you ready to advance the Kingdom of God at Harvard?

Encounter 2008
Saturday, 19 April 2008 07:00PM - 09:30PM at Jefferson 250
The Harvard-Radcliffe Asian American Christian Fellowship (HRAACF) would like to invite you to ENCOUNTER, a Boston-wide night of worship that will be held at 7 pm on Saturday, April 19. ENCOUNTER will take place on Harvard's campus in Jefferson Laboratory, room 250. View map HERE.
We envision ENCOUNTER as a time of worship where believers from all over Boston can gather together to praise His name as one voice. Our hope is that God will meet us during this time and inspire in each of us a lifestyle of continual worship and fellowship. The night will be an extended time of musical worship, drama, and possibly body worship, providing different venues for people to encounter God.
We hope to see all of you there-- we're excited about joining believers in Boston to praise God together!
