A Cry to Love
So often I'm turned away.
You say to me, "Back away.
"I don't need you.
"I don't want to speak to you."
These constant responses
Provoke constant pain in my heart.
I start to feel rejected,
and a dejected mist forms across my eyes
As I realize
That your heart is closing to me.
Don't you see
That I love you,
That I care about you,
That I want to heal your pain?
The reign of Christ's love in my heart
Causes me to start
Reconciliation.
I'm hoping that a realization
Of the need for reconciliation
Will cause us to come closer
And find closure
Between the two of us.
Realize that I love you,
That I care about you,
That I want to heal your pain,
So that again,
There will be a chance
That between us
Will form deep, deep love,
Love imitating love from above,
In the form of Christ's love for us all
