Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.

-- 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV)

Our Vision

Mission Statement: To know God, and to make God known.

The vision of the Harvard-Radcliffe Asian American Christian Fellowship is to draw people both individually and corporately into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through the transforming power of God's love and grace. We seek to build a dynamic community of radical faith in Christ embodying the relevance of the gospel to Asian Americans and engaging students in a life of discipleship, leading us to serve and bear witness to Him as Savior and Lord of our lives in the Harvard community and beyond. We desire a community characterized by a people committed to worship and prayer, peace and joy, restoration of wholeness, the critique of personal and cultural sins, and individual and corporate reconciliation.

Hope

We believe that prayer is our foundation for communion with God and successful ministry. All are welcome to join our weekly prayer meetings.

Light

Our family group Bible studies serve as the core of our Christian community and and are where spiritual growth is nurtured within the fellowship. We meet weekly to study passages from scripture and apply them to our lives. In addition to scripture study, we also use this time to share about our lives and pray for each other. We hold special Bible studies for freshmen and also offer more intensive scripture studies (like Mark study) for those interested.

Calling

God deeply desires us to understand His heart for the students on the Harvard campus. Heeding His call to reach out, serve, and love His people, we desire to invite our friends and share the Gospel with them as a way to live out our faith and calling. In another way, too, God desires us to have compassion for the poor and marginalized. Heeding His call to social justice and social responsibility, we will be entering into many opportunities for service. Every spring break, we hold an Urban Plunge, a weeklong experience of service, scripture study, and discipleship in underdeveloped areas of Boston. For two years in a row, our fellowship has sent members out to the slums of Manila on InterVarsity's Global Urban Trek, an intensive summer missions experience living with, serving, and learning from the world's poor.

Joy

Every Friday we gather together as one body, celebrating our redemption in Christ and striving together to draw closer to Him. These Large Group meetings include praise and worship, corporate prayer, scripture, skits, and various guest speakers.
